The Centre for Linguistic Research on East Asia (Centre de recherches linguistiques sur l’Asie orientale, CRLAO) has been exploring the diversity, structures and history of East Asian languages since 1971. Its members include researchers, engineers, post-docs and PhD students from EHESS, CNRS and Inalco, conducting research and publishing on oral and written, living and dead, minority and majority languages. CRLAO members are also involved in academic teaching.
The CRLAO is directed by Huy Linh DAO (assistant professor in Vietnamese, Inalco) and Thomas Pellard (research fellow in language sciences, CNRS). It is located on two sites: the EHESS Condorcet Campus (Aubervilliers) and the Maison de la Recherche de l’Inalco (Paris). CRLAO is also present on social networks (Twitter).
